For an existing booking record or photograph, ask the sheriff’s office for its current data-practices designee or records-contact instructions. Fillmore County does not publish a county-specific request form, fixed booking-photo fee, or guaranteed response time. Minnesota Chapter 13 governs access, and Minn. Stat. §13.82, subd. 26 generally treats a booking photograph as public while allowing temporary withholding when access would adversely affect an active investigation. Inspection of public data is free; state copy guidance gives 25 cents per page for 100 or fewer black-and-white letter or legal pages, while photographs, electronic copies, and transmissions may involve actual cost. The county may not charge to separate public from nonpublic data. The office should provide its current estimate before copying.
- For a person still held in county custody, begin with the official current inmate jail roster. It is a daily current-custody view, not a released-bookings archive.
- For a past booking or an item absent from the roster, contact the sheriff’s records path in writing and identify the name, booking number or MNI, and intake date if known.

- For someone sentenced to or supervised by the state, use the MNDOC Public Viewer. State custody is separate from the county roster.
